Brooklyn-born and bred, Juvie Gonzalez is a passionate coach who is also a family man, motorcycle and extreme sports lover, and who also digs listening to good books. Juvie is a former 200m/400m collegiate-level sprinter and endurance athlete (1/2 and full marathons, Iron Man 70.1, Spartan, Tough Mudder, etc.) And maaaaannnnn that beard!

I have worked with athletes young and mature from many fitness background. We focus on movement technique, constancy and intensity. To accompany your progression we also touch base on rest and nutrition habits . I understand that no two bodies are alike and will work with you to get fit at the right pace.

  • What are your workout styles and training that you offer to clients? 
    My workout styles generally consist of body weight movements (i.e. run, squats etc.), free weights (kettle bells, Dumbbells, Barbell etc.) And conditioning tools (i.e. assault bike, rowing). Clients and I work for 30,45, or up to 60 min. a session depending on the particular goal and clients abilities. 
     

  • Where do you make your training sessions?
    I mainly host my training sessions at Crossfit Sandbox (whilshire and 10th, Santa Monica), but I have expanded my services to that of home visit in person and or  via Skype, Whatsapp and other avenues of  communication. 
     

  • Do you own the gym? 
    Yes I am part owner. 
     

  • Do you have other gyms? 
    No, yet indirectly yes. I work with clients that my have their own home gyms and I am able to coach them on using their equipment.
     

  • Do you also train your clients outside the gym and/or in their/your home?
    I have expanded my services to that of home visit in person and or  via Skype, Whatsapp and other avenues of  communication. 
     

  • What are your usual hours and days of training clients? 
    My hours span from 5am- 8pm Monday- Thursday, Friday 5am-5pm, Sunday 5am-11am
     

  • Can you describe your perfect client? 
    My perfect client is one who has coach-able characteristics. Such examples are: 
    - Communicating frequently and in a timely fashion
    - Arrive on time every time
    - Willing to take risk within appropriate thresholds 
    - Follows instructions 
    - Listens to their bodies 
     

  • Where do you make your training sessions? 
    I mainly host my training sessions at Crossfit Sandbox (925 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401), but I have expanded my services to that of home visit in person and or  via Skype, Whatsapp and other avenues of  communication.
